Episode 003: ZZ Top Rocks for Texas
Last Sunday night ZZ Top rocked the arena at Smart Financial Center in Sugarland, the first show there since Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas. Before the show ZZ Top and Smart Financial Center donated $100,000 toward relief efforts through the Salvation Army of Fort Bend County.
Suzi Hanks (106.9 The Eagle's Dean & Rog morning) show introduced and welcomed onto the stage the first responders from the Fire Marshall's office as well as the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department and Fort Bend County EMS, to celebrate them for their efforts during the storm.
ZZ Top is just one of many Texas artists that have scheduled to do what they do best to aid the state in our recovery from the hurricane. We are all so thankful for the many amazingly talented and loyal Texans spurring along the music scene after Harvey. Slowly but surely, with all of us working together, Texas will set right.
If you would like to help, visit THIS page for a list of various local and national donation organizations. OR visit our STORE to purchase prints, 100% of proceeds going to JJWatt Foundation's Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
(If you are an artist and would like to donate a print or other items, contact us at info@texasinked.com, subject: "Donation".)
