Our Reason:

Bullshit laws have made it practically impossible for school districts in Texas to get funding for art programs. When there is a budget for an art program, most times, teachers have to purchase basic items that will be needed. Not only does this screw the already underpaid teachers, but it also hurts children who could really benefit from the artistic release.

Taking Action:

Now through December 21st, we will be collecting backpacks filled with art supplies! These backpacks will be donated to schools through out Texas who need the extra help.

What we Envision:

Thousands upon thousands of backpacks as far as the eye can see! Okay, that may be a little much, but please help us! We would love to accept as many backpacks as possible.

Donation Ideas:

Kids are amazingly resilient creature, they don’t need the best of the best to be happy, the just need the basics. There is no need to go out and buy the most expensive brands, but there is a need to get as many supplies as possible. So here’s a list we compiled, but put your own creative spin on it!

Backpack/Book Bag (can be any shape or style)
Art Supplies - (Elementary to Jr. High)
- Paints/Paint Brushes
- Color Pencils
- Markers
- Construction Paper
- Tissue Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Rulers
- Erasers
- Sturdy reusable cups (for cleaning and storing brushes)
- Anything you would have dreamed of in school…

We will end out donation drive the evening of our Christmas party December 21st @ Wits End in Dallas, TX. Donations will be accepted that night as well.
