MUSIC MONDAYS: Post Malone & Tyla Yaweh
POWERED BY
Austin Richard Posts’ (better known by his stage name “Post Malone”, experienced a career take off after his chart topping single “White Iverson” back in 2015. The Dallas native found his niche in combining sentimental lyrics with elements of pop, and rap, to create his own unique sound. Malone, headed out on his second leg of the “Runaway Tour” earlier this year in support of his third album release Hollywood’s Bleeding. Thousands of fans from across the Houston area gathered in the Toyota Center to see Post Malone for his sold out show. Post was joined on tour by Tyla Yaweh, and Swae Lee, one half of the duo Rae Sremmurd.
Post took to the runway styled stage in a haze of smoke while “Hollywood’s Bleeding” intro started playing in the background, his vocals, along with audience members shrieking, and chanting in excitement fill the venue. He continued to perform “Better Now” before pausing during his set to drink a beer and tell concertgoers “I’m here to play y’all some shitty fucking songs and get fucked up while I do it.” Post Malone continued to guide concertgoers through his catalogue of music. He took a moment to reminisce on the beginning of his career with tracks “White Iverson”, and “Go Flex”, as audience members of all ages danced and sang along. It was definitely a night for the books.
