Maxo Kream
Houston’s Maxo Kream put on a thrilling show at Emo’s in Austin, TX on October 19th. The show featured performances by Slayter, Jairmy, KCG Josh, and Q Da Fool. The venue seemed empty compared to the sold out Houston show Kream played the night before. Despite the lower numbers, Kream delivered the same level of energy.
Kream has become one of the hottest artists out of Houston over the past two years. His popularity rose significantly after the 2018 release of Punken skyrocketed the Alief born rapper into the mainstream. He later signed with Roc Nation and had his first major label release in July entitled, Brandon Banks, which pays homage to the rapper’s father.
Kream emerged in a mirage of smoke performing songs including “Murder Blocc,” “Bissonett,” and “Spice Lane.” With a perfectly developed setlist, Maxo was able to fuel the energy in the room with each passing song. Kream continued on to perform popular hits including “Drizzy Draco,” “Clientele,” “13,” and “Cells Booming” as concertgoers went from bouncing up and down to opening a mosh pit and eventually crowd surfing. It was a night no attendee will forget.
