MUSIC MONDAYS: Alt-J

A confident band entirely comfortable with their sound, Alt-J took the stage in Houston at White Oak Music Hall under a November Texas sky. Dubbed a “New Radiohead”, the young British rockers filled the outdoor amphitheater, which holds over 3,000 fans. A thoughtful stage, reminiscent of their 2015 ACL appearance, with LED panels, intermittent green lights, and a soft fog, divided three equal sections for the harmonious sounds of keyboard, bass, and drums. Their creative use of space provides for a 3-dimensional experience, which compliments vocals that serenade their audience.

MUSIC MONDAYS: Balance & Composure + Chon + Circa Survive + Thrice

Wednesday November 8th served as quite a memorable day for about 1500 Houstonians who were packed into House of Blues like sardines to see some of this decades best alt- rock bands: Balance and Composure, Chon, Circa Survive, and Thrice. If you were there, you know. If not, you’re about to feel the FOMO, and we’re sorry for that…kind of.
